Rollins helps Taylor win tourney game
Blake Rollins, a former St. Joseph baseball standout who plays for Taylor University in Indiana, had strong performance in the Mid-Central Conference (NAIA) baseball tournament at Marion, Ind.
Rollins, the Log Cabin's Faulkner Cowboy Baseball Player of the Year in 2004, was 4 for 6 with two home runs, seven RBI and three runs scored to led Taylor to a 26-9 victory over St. Francis in an elimination game in the tournament.
Taylor was eliminated 9-2 in the semifinals with eventual champion Huntington University.
He will graduate with honors with a degree in history.
