
   
Conway students elected to Phi Beta Kappa at Hendrix
Nicholas Barnes and Neil Kopper, both of Conway, were two of 19 students recently elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Society's Beta chapter at Hendrix College in Conway. Elected students demonstrated intellectual integrity, tolerance for other views and a broad range of academic interests.
Barnes, a senior, is majoring in economics. He is the son of Dr. Kenneth and Deborah Barnes.
Kopper, a senior, is majoring in physics. He is the son of Randy and Ginny Kopper.
Founded in 1776, Phi Beta Kappa is the nation's oldest and largest academic honor society, with more than half a million members. It has chapters at 270 colleges and universities. The Society's mission is to promote the liberal arts and sciences, to recognize academic excellence, and to foster freedom of thought and expression.
