HENDRIX TRUSTEES DECIDE TO ADD FOOTBALL
After a 13-month study and debate, Hendrix College's board of trustees has decided to add football to the college's athletic program. Football was discontinued at Hendrix after the 1960 season because of costs. No timetable was set for football to be implemented, but trustees said the sport will only be implemented after start-up costs are raised from external sources. Trustees have also voted to add women's lacrosse with the same stipulation. Further details in Wednesday's editions of the Log Cabin Democrat.



Thomas H. "Buster" Keathley

Thomas H. "Buster" Keathley, 90, of Little Rock, died Sunday.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Pearson Keathley of Little Rock; three daughters, Betty Goodson of Sherwood, Carolyn Hobbs of Estill Springs, Tenn., and Lisa Hicks of Little Rock; sister, Bessie Mobbs of Conway; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Dale Keathley; three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, 758-1170.
