News Release on Palm Beach Atlantic University website.

WEST PALM BEACH - Palm Beach Atlantic University trustees today voted unanimously to accept the recommendation of the presidential search committee to appoint Lu Hardin, J.D. as PBA's seventh president. President Hardin begins his term of service July 1, 2009.

Show caters to different tastebuds

What to eat for dinner? Pizza? Mexican? Barbecue? On Tuesday, you can have it all.

The annual Taste of Conway will be 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Conway Sports Center in the Don Owen Recreation Complex on Lower Ridge Road.

Mary Margaret Satterfield, director of marketing and tourism for the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce, said, "We hold this every year to showcase our local restaurants in an accessible setting. It's something fun for the family and relatively inexpensive. You get to sample the different restaurants, and it lets (vendors) get in front of a large variety of people."

Advance tickets are $10 per person and $5 for children ages 10 and under. They may be purchased at the chamber or at Caldwell Toyota, which is this year's presenting sponsor, Satterfield said. Tickets may also be purchased at the door for $12 per person and $5 for children ages 10 and under.

New restaurants participating in the event this year will include La Botana Mexican Buffet, America 13-50, Stromboli's, Lindsey's Barbecue, Ruby Tuesday, Taco Bueno, Moe's Southwest Grill and the Pickle Barrel Fudge Factory, Satterfield said.

Returning this year will be Mickey's Bluefish Grill, Stoby's, Colton's, McAlister's, Dixie Cafe, Marketplace Grill, Cracker Barrel, Mike's Place, Pia's and Mazzio's.

Satterfield said patrons will be able to vote on the best booth as well as the best taste.

"I'm pretty excited about all the new restaurants that will be there," she said. "There are so many new restaurants that open up in Conway. This is a way for everyone to see what's new as well as to see their favorites that have been around for a while."
