Westside 4th grade gifted and talented students have put together approximately 50 pet care kits for Greenbrier’s elderly homebound. The kits include dog/cat food, newspaper, pet treats, pet toys, collars, and leashes. Students utilized their class 3D printer to print pet tags for the collars customized with the pet owners’ names and phone numbers. Students partnered with Greenbrier’s Senior Center, and their Meals on Wheels volunteers will help get these delivered. Kits will also be handed out to the elderly Faulkner County Veterinary Clinic and Greenbrier Animal Hospital. Items for the kit were donated by Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market, Harp’s, Wilcox Feed and Supply, First Service Bank, and a generous grandmother. Students enjoyed serving their community.
