Among reports recently released by the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office:
1. Animal shooting at 400 block of Middle Road, Conway. A man reported July 16 that he found a pit bull in his hog pens. The man stated that he shot the dog inside the pen when he realized both pigs were dead. The man wanted to find the owner of the dog so they could pay for the pigs, which the man stated were valued at $1,775. The man believed the owner of the dog lived at a nearby duplex apartment. Officers could not locate the owner of the dog at the property. Authorities were notified later by apartment residents that a man had laid a dead dog in the front of the property. Attached to the dog was a poster board reading, “I killed your dog. Call me.” The owner of the hogs advised officers that he would remove the dog and sign from the property.
2. Motor vehicle theft at Queens Manor Apartments, Mayflower. Victim reported July 22 that his vehicle may have been stolen. The victim stated that he let the suspect borrow his car the previous night and she had not returned it. The victim stated that he only knew the suspect by her first name. The victim said the suspect had left a car at his residence for him to drive. Officers verified that the vehicle left by the suspect was reported stolen in Saline County.
3. Vandalism at 10 block of Stone Mountain Drive, Conway. Victim reported July 22 that his mailbox was vandalized. The victim stated that the mailbox appeared to have been shot. The victim said there were several small holes indicating it may have been shot with a shotgun. The victim said his mailbox, as well as his neighbor’s, was pulled out of the ground two months ago. The victim stated that the road had been spray painted in several areas.
