As summer finally comes to an end so does the downtown Conway farmers market.

This week marks the final days of the market, which will be open Thursday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the intersection of Parkway Avenue and Main Street in downtown Conway.

The farmers market at the Village at Hendrix will remain open on Tuesdays from 4-8 p.m. through Oct. 26.

According to Kami Marsh with the Faulkner County Cooperative Extension Service, the Hendrix Village market location will have a number of items available but will focus mostly on homemade crafts and goods.

“There’s not as much produce in the fall, but we still have some great homemade crafts and items.”

Marsh was pleased with the turnout for this year’s downtown farmers market.

“It has been a really great market,” Marsh said. “We have great customers and support.”

The downtown farmers market will return next spring and will be open from May to October. The official opening day will be announced at a later date.
