Miss Rebecca Grace Morgan and Mr. Evan Matthew Pence, both of Little Rock, Ark., were united in marriage at 6 p.m. May 31, 2014, at Greene Chapel on the Hendrix College Campus in a double-ring ceremony officiated by Mr. Paul Hudson of Conway.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. William Morgan and Mrs. Sara Morgan of Conway. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mary Ann Schreit and the late Mr. Frank J. Schreit of Paragould, Ark., the late Mr. Newlin Morgan and the late Mrs. Rosa Lee Morgan of Laramie, Wyo.

The groom is the son of Mrs. Lynn Pence and the late Mr. Terry Pence of Conway. He is the grandson of Mr. Jerry Pence and Mrs. Sandra Pence of Griffithville, Ark., the late Mr. Tryon Lewis and the late Mrs. Corinne Lewis of Fayetteville, Ark.

Upon entering Greene Chapel, wedding guests were greeted and given the opportunity to sign wooden Jenga game pieces. The entry table was decorated with a crystal vase of white hydrangeas, as well as a memory candle. Inside the chapel were two bronze iron candelabras, which were draped with white hydrangeas, baby’s breath, Sahara roses, bear grass and seeded eucalyptus.

The parents and grandparents of the couple were seated as "Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring" was played on the pipe organ by Mr. Lyle Rupert. A duet by Mr. Nathan Kelley and Miss Jessica Kelley of the song "Yearn" was then performed and accompanied by guitar. The wedding party entered the sanctuary to "River Flows in You," and the bride, escorted by her father, walked down the aisle to "Canon in D." The bride’s ivory, strapless, wedding gown made of silky taffeta had an asymmetrical draped neckline with a pleated waist and a loop bow. The A-line pleated skirt ended in a puddle train. The bride’s jewelry included her mother’s strand of pearls and an elbow length veil completed her attire. The bride’s bouquet was a European clutch of ivory garden roses, spray roses and Sahara roses wrapped with an ivory satin ribbon and a lace overlay.

Matrons of honor were Christal Cicero of Conway and Kate Abrams of Little Rock, sisters of the bride. They each wore a strapless latte chiffon floor length gown with a high waist and wrapped bodice. They carried bouquets of ivory garden roses, ivory spray roses, and green hydrangeas wrapped with ivory satin ribbon.

Bridesmaids were Sarah Morgan, sister-in-law of the bride of Little Rock, Jamie Newman, friend of the bride of Conway, Cassie Cobb, Courtnie Holt and Rose Welchans, all sorority sisters of the bride of Fayetteville, and Katherine Barnett, sorority sister, of Memphis, Tenn.

They wore dresses that matched the matrons of honor and carried the same type of bouquet.

Ring bearers were Silas and Dylan Cicero, nephews of the bride of Conway.

Flower girl was Emily Tulk, family friend of the groom of South Riding, Va.

Wesley Pence, of Valrico, Fla., served his brother as best man.

Groomsmen were Joe Morgan, brother of the bride, and Derek Abrams, friend of the groom, both of Little Rock, and James Cicero, Travis Alexander, Brian Bell, Jake Forehand and Blake Jones, all friends of the groom of Conway.

Ushers were Landon Sanders of Little Rock, Bodi Hearn of Conway and Jordan Hearn of Los Angeles, Calif., all friends of the groom.

Katey Pence, sister of the groom, and Joanna Schreit, cousin of the bride, presided at the bride’s book.

The reception was held at the Conway Country Club.

Guest table decorations included iron twig vases of varying heights with arrangements of white hydrangeas, bells of Ireland, snapdragon and curly willow, as well as pillar candles surrounded by rings of ivory roses, moss balls and baby’s breath.

The bride’s cake was three tiered with white, chocolate and strawberry flavored layers, all covered in white buttercream frosting and decorated with fresh flowers. The groom’s table, decorated with law books and Chicago Cubs memorabilia, held a two layered chocolate Reese’s peanut butter cake. Guests dined on heavy hors d’oeuvres, which included a carving station offering roast beef, and a candy bar provided favor bags for the guests to take home.

After an evening of dancing and celebration, the couple departed under a shower of rose petals for their honeymoon destination, The Riviera Excellence Resort in Cancun, Mexico.

Mr. and Mrs. Pence reside in Little Rock.

On Friday evening, a rehearsal dinner of barbecue and all the trimmings was held at The Old Gin and hosted by the groom’s mother. The bride and her bridesmaids were entertained at a wedding day brunch on Saturday morning hosted by the bride’s aunts and family friends.
