Good Morning brothers and sisters. I want to start off by saying it’s good to know Jesus. He’s so loving, He’s so kind, He’s so caring, He’s so understanding, He’s so forgiving, and above all He is the Son of the Living God the Lamb who died for the sins of the whole world. He didn’t have to do that but He did, thank You Jesus for laying Your life down. No one took your life but You laid it down for us.

"But I am not really the one who is doing these hated things; it is sin living in me that does them. Yes, I know that nothing good lives in me — I mean nothing good lives in the part of me that is earthly and sinful. I want to do the things that are good, but I do not do them. I do not do the good things I want to do, but I do the bad things I do not want to do. So if I do things I do not want to do, then I am not the one doing them. It is sin living in me that does those things," Romans 7:17-20.

I said that to say this, how many of you know the spirit man which is the real you, came from God and the house that your spirit-man lives in came from the dust of the ground which is called the flesh. Did you know that your flesh is always warring against your spirit? Your spirit-man always wants to do what is right but your flesh wants to do what’s wrong.

I never will forget after my son died I was at the lowest point of my life. I didn’t want to talk to anyone, I didn’t even want to be around anyone. Remember brothers and sisters, the devil will always attack you when you’re at your lowest point. And I remember my flesh was controlled by the devil, and I heard the devil tell me: take a shot of gin then you’ll be OK. Let me put some of you in remembrance before God took alcohol away from me. I was an alcoholic. After my flesh told me it was OK to take a shot of gin the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said: if you take a shot of alcohol you will surely die. You see, I could’ve died spiritually or physically. What the devil failed to realize when I asked God to talk alcohol away from me, He did just what I asked, He took it away from me and He will do the same for you if you ask and mean it from your heart. (your spirit-man)

Brothers and sisters, we are going to face temptation every day of our lives down here on earth as long as we are in these flesh bodies. Your flesh is always going to challenge your spirit-man. When the spirit-man wants to do good your flesh will always stick his head up and want to do bad.

Romans 8:5-6 reads: Those who live following their sinful selves think only about things that their sinful selves want. But those who live following the Spirit are thinking about the things the Spirit wants them to do. If people’s thinking is controlled by the sinful self, there is death. But if their thinking is controlled by the Spirit, there is life and peace.

Now with me sometimes the flesh will win and other times it loses to my spirit-man. All I’m trying to say is we follow behind the flesh and we’ll lose all the time, we must learn how to follow the spirit and live. There is no good thing that comes from the flesh, in order to defeat your flesh you’ve got to have help from above and that help comes from The Holy Spirit which is Jesus’ spirit. We ALL need The Holy Spirit, I don’t care who you are. Don’t let your flesh dictate how you live your life. Be led by the Spirit. Our spirit-man needs the Holy Spirit, we can’t live without Him and expect to live a victorious life to please Jesus. You might be saying how can I live a victorious life, well I’m glad you asked. Just ask the Holy Spirit to come into your heart. Ask Him today because He won’t come in unless you invite Him in. And remember this, if you are a Christian the devil doesn’t have any power over you unless you give him the power to control your life! Adam, in the beginning, had the power over the devil but he turned it over to Satan when he ate the fruit from the forbidden tree.

It’s very important that you give your life to Jesus before you die. You know we never know when we are going to die or when Jesus will come back. Give your life to Jesus today, Be on the safe side! Some people don’t know this but Jesus is so important in our lives and we need to make Him our Lord and Savior. Stop putting Him off because after death we all are going to stand before Him to be judged. The Bible says every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord to the Glory of God. So you can bow now or bow later, it’s your call! So do the right thing NOW, and bow to Jesus and confess Him as your Lord and Savior.

So many have died and opened up their eyes in hell and now they wished they had made Jesus their Lord and Savior but it is too late. In closing, I want to pray this little prayer: God, I’m sorry. I’m guilty for not obeying You the way You want me to. Forgive me of my sins. I confess You as my Lord and Savior. You are the true living God. Thank You for Your grace and mercy. Thank You for not killing me when I disobeyed You. It was Your mercy that kept me, it was nothing that I did that kept me alive. Thank You for Your mercy. Once again, I’m guilty Lord. Forgive me. In Jesus name....AMEN.
