Alicia Neppl, Conway Sanitation Department’s new Recycling Coordinator, wants more people aware of recycling services.

"I want to make sure everyone knows about our services and why it’s so important," Neppl said. "I try to stick to the three Rs: recycle, reduce and reuse. There are still a lot of people who don’t know what we recycle or that we do recycle. We have a lot of people move in and out of Conway, so I want people to know about us."

Neppl started Feb. 1 and said she enjoys the position.

"I love it," Neppl said. "I’ve been in public health for eight years and have worked in tobacco prevention as well."

In her short time in the position, she has completed several tasks.

"My first day was awesome," Neppl said. "Once I started, I’ve gotten tours scheduled and have given community presentations to daycares and adult groups."

Neppl and the Sanitation Department are continuing to work toward cleaner living in Conway.
