Conway Advocates for Bicycling will present "Bicycle Dreams," a feature film about The Race Across America at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 25, at the First United Methodist Church, 1610 Prince St. in Conway.

The film, which won awards at several small film festivals in 2009, chronicles cyclists as they participate in the 3,000-mile bicycle race from the Pacific to the Atlantic. The Race Across America is one of the most grueling in sports competition today, with top riders completing the race in less than 10 days.

The CAB movie night social is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided. A drawing for a SealLine Urban backpack ($80 value) and an annual membership for the League of American Bicyclists ($40 value) will be open to CAB members. Memberships to CAB will be available for purchase at the social.

Attendees will also have a chance to purchase tickets for a drawing that will be held on Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Conway Fall Classic Bicycle Tour. Prizes include an Orbea Aqua TTG Bike, Tifosi Sunglasses, High Sierra Hydration Pack and pair of Mavic Equipe Wheels.

Conway Advocates for Bicycling is a non-profit organization working in partnership with all friends of bicycling to promote bicycling in Conway and in surrounding communities in Faulkner County. For more information about the social or other activities hosted by CAB, visit
