Conway Community Arts will present Driving Miss Daisy by Alfred Uhry on Feb. 23, 24, 25, March 1, 2, 3 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 26 and March 4 at 2:30 pm at the Lantern Theatre, 1021 Van Ronkle in downtown Conway.
In this charming play, Daisy’s son has deemed his mother is no longer fit to drive, so he hires an African American man to chauffeur her around. The 1989 film version won the Academy Award for Best Picture.
The cast includes Lillian Petrucelli as Miss Daisy, Carleton Brown as Hoke, and Shane Shoemake as Boolie. The production is under the direction of Cindy Romeo with stage management by Angel Moix and set design by Liz Parker.
Tickets are $12 each and reservations are highly encouraged as all performances are expected to sell out.
