Greenbrier native Sam Williams is returning home at Christmas riding a country high.

Williams, a 2011 graduate of Greenbrier High School, is celebrating 15 weeks on the Texas Regional Radio Charts with his song, "Out of San Antonio." Williams will be playing that song along with many others when he performs at J.J.’s Grill and Chill in Conway on Wednesday, Dec. 26.

Williams said the hit song came out a true life experience. He was traveling to a college rodeo in south Texas when his truck and trailer nearly hit by a tornado. He recalls it as a life changing experience. He penned the song less than 48 hours later.

Williams is a Faulkner County Battle of the Bands winner, and he took first place with an original song and acoustical performance hosted by the Arkansas Star Talent Search held at the RayLynn Theater in Hot Springs.

"Out of San Antonio" is currently ranked No. 58 and can be heard on "Red Dirt Country" stations throughout Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. It can also be downloaded from iTunes or
