The Faulkner County Alzheimer’s Walk Committee is hosting its fifth annual Easter egg hunt.

The event is being held near the south pavilion at Laurel Park at 2 p.m. Saturday. The committee is asking for a $5 donation to participate, and all proceeds benefit Alzheimer’s Arkansas Programs and Services 11th annual Faulkner County walk to be held Sept. 10.

Participants will be able to have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Many eggs will be filled with treats and there will be a prize egg for each age group. Each child will need to bring his own Easter basket for collecting eggs, as baskets will not be provided.

Alzheimer’s affects approximately five million Americans and over 100,000 Arkansans are currently diagnosed with the disease.
