There is nothing sweeter than the sounds of good old Southern Gospel Music, and lots of it. For the Gospel music fan that’s exactly what’s in store Feb. 25 and 26 when The Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and Heaven’s Echoes host the 3rd Annual Mid-Ark Quartet Convention.

This year’s line-up includes nine of the best southern gospel groups found in this region of the United States. Along with Heaven’s Echoes from Plumerville you will enjoy His Call from Dallas, Texas, CrossPoint from Benton, Velvet Ridge From Velvet Ridge, The Voyagers from Little Rock, Broken Vessels from Jackson, Ala., The Apostles from Little Rock and N Him from Olive Branch, Miss. You will also enjoy the bluegrass gospel sounds of the Wooten Brothers from Springfield and special music from Eli Haydel from Shreveport, La. Mike Goodwin from Magnolia will serve as your Master of Cermonies.

Friday night’s concert will begin at 6 p.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday with doors opening one hour earlier each evening. You will enjoy great concessions prepared by the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Brotherhood and served by the Women’s Auxiliary, Girls Missionary Auxiliary and youth groups with all concession proceeds going to various ministries within the church. Be sure to visit the Family Life Center where the groups will have their product tables along with a large Silent Auction, which includes items too numerous to mention. Each night there will be special music by Eli Haydel and Scott Roberts of Broken Vessels beginning 30 minutes prior to concert time.

There is no way to describe the atmosphere you will experience when you attend the Mid-Ark Quartet Convention. Our desire is to uplift the name of our Savior Jesus Christ, to see souls saved, and a renewing in the hearts of God’s people.
