Parenting course offered

 at Cornerstone

Cornerstone Bible Church is hosting a class for parents of teenagers titled Active Parenting of Teens, by Michael H. Popkin, PhD. The class will last six weeks from 6-8 p.m. beginning March 10. 

This DVD-based, interactive class covers topics of communication, responsibility and discipline (goals of misbehavor and redirecting misbehavior).

Participants will receive a complimentary copy of the parent’s guide. Light snacks will be served each week. The class is limited to 20 people.

Christ Temple to host Fill-A-Pew Sunday

Christ Temple Holiness Church, 868 Willow St., will host Fill-A-Pew services Sunday. 

Services will begin with Sunday school at 9 a.m. and worship services starting at 10 a.m. Following worship services, dinner will be served. Elder Willie L. Owens, Jr. is Pastor of Christ Temple Church.

World Day of Prayer set for March 4

Women, men and children in more than 170 countries and regions will join in Praying for Chile. This past year, Chile has been challenged by a devastating earthquake and the collapse of a mine in which many miners were trapped. The women of Chile have written the service around the theme, How many loaves have you? 

Bread is central to daily lives of the peoples in Chile and sharing bread is a universal sign of hospitality. We are reminded to share our bread and to receive the bread that is shared with us. 

World Day of Prayer will take place at Christ Temple Holiness Church on 868 Willow St., Conway. Fellowship at 9:30 a.m. Program 10-11 a.m. 

An offering will be taken. Peanut Butter for local food pantries would be appreciated.

Also, Christ Temple Holiness Church, 868 Willow St., and the Faulkner County Chapter of Church Women United, will host the World Day of Prayer on March 4. Fellowship and greet time begins at 9:30 a.m., and the program begins at 10 a.m. 

St. Joseph Catholic Church and Union Baptist Church are co-hosts. Linda Fullerton is President of the Faulkner County Chapter of CWU, and Elder Willie L. Owens Jr. is pastor of Christ Temple Church.

True Holiness to host Black History Celebration

The public is invited to join True Holiness Saints Center as they host their annual Black History Celebration. 

The service is scheduled to convene at 11 a.m. Sunday. The True Holiness youth department will be performing a play entitled "Arkansas Heritage". The annual address will be given by Attorney General Dusty McDaniel, whom will be speaking from the theme, "The Significance of Black History in Today’s America."
