The Conway Planning Commission unanimously approved a conditional use permit to allow a drive-through window at a planned Chick-Fil-A at the corner of Prince Street and Farris Road (in front of the Walmart Neighborhood Market).

During Monday night’s meeting, Planning Department Director Bryan Patrick asked any interested Conway residents to send in applications for open positions.  The commission hears arguments for zoning and land use issues and gives recommendations to the city council. Applications are available at

Central Baptist College requested rezoning two residential properties southwest of the campus form R-2A residential to S1 institutional so the college can build a dormitory there.

A resident of the area, expressed concerns that CBC might expand further south across Bruce Street. CBC has been approached by some homeowners further south, a college representative said, and has bought some property there, but its "2020" plan does not include expansion beyond the block it occupies. The commission voted unanimously to approve the rezoning.
