Starting Monday night, road crews will be working on Highway 65 between Interstate 40 and the Cadron Creek. A second project will start Tuesday at Lower Ridge Road.

David Ross of the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department said crews will start Monday night patching holes on Highway 65 between I-40 and the Cadron Creek. Workers will be on the roads in the evenings between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m., he said. Once the patching work is finished, crews will lay new asphalt during the weeks of July 28 and Aug. 4.

Conway City Engineer Ronnie Hall said Lower Ridge Road will be closed for improvements Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. between Highway 65 and the Conway Sports Center.

Road crews will give the intersection at Highway 65 a less steep approach and add a left turn lane so that right-turning traffic can proceed through the intersection, Hall said.

Lower Ridge Road will also be closed to westbound traffic from Thursday through the end of the week, but eastbound traffic will be allowed through the work area, he said. Detour signs will be placed on Museum Road to give drivers advanced warning of the lane closure, Hall said.
