In exactly one month, the 35th Annual Toad Suck Daze festival, presented by Crain Buick GMC, will kick off in downtown Conway.

This year’s Toad Suck Daze will feature a number of changes designed to make the festival “more convenient and more family friendly than ever” Conway Area Chamber of Commerce CEO Brad Lacy said.

“A new concessions sponsor and new technology are allowing us to retire the Toad Bucks process,” Lacy said. “All of our vendors will be able to take cash and cards at their booth. And to celebrate the festival’s 35th birthday, the Cherokee Casino and Hotel-Roland 'Concession Sweepstakes' will reimburse every 35th attendee who turns in their eligible concessions receipt.”
There is also a change to the festival’s entertainment footprint.

The new Kum & Go Stage at Kings will host regional acts in a traditional live music venue late into the night.

The McDonald’s/Crain Kia Main Stage in Simon Park will once again be home to the festival’s headline entertainment.

Friday night will feature award winning contemporary Christian artists Danny Gokey, Peter Furler (Newsboys co-founder), and Josh Wilson.

Toad Suck Daze’s Saturday night concert will be headlined by the Grammy nominated husband and wife country duo Thompson Square. All shows are free admission.
The Conway Area Chamber of Commerce’s Toad Suck Daze Committee also presented contributions to three local nonprofits at the Tuesday announcement.

Arkansas Preschool Plus received a $35,000 contribution, the Conway Downtown Partnership received $20,000, and the Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre received $5,000. The committee will also award $25,000 in scholarships to Faulkner County students during the festival.
Conway Area Chamber Board Chairman Jay Myers said he hoped today’s contributions remind people of Toad Suck Daze’s mission.

“Toad Suck Daze is really about having fun and giving back. By attending the festival everyone has the opportunity to join our sponsors, volunteers, and downtown businesses in supporting these worthy causes,” Myers said.
Toad Suck Daze will take place April 29 through May 1  in downtown Conway.
