Grace Bible Fellowship Church in Conway was the scene of the 2 p.m. wedding on May 30 of Ashley Herrell and Spencer Stanton.

The bride is a daughter of William and Debbie Herrell of Tallahassee, Fla., formerly of Conway, and a granddaughter of Faye Brown and Dr. Harry Martinez, both of Albany, Ga., and Lea and the late William Herrell II of Tallahassee, Fla.   

The groom is a son of Dr. Michael and Denise Stanton of Wooster and a grandson of Thaddeus and Janelle Stanton of Conway and the late Harold L. and Madine Henderson of Conway.

The bride wore an A-line gown of diamond white over light gold featuring a strapless neckline with Amour Tulle lace and corset back.  Tulle was adorned with pearls, bugle beads and sequins with tulle rosettes enriching the lace.  She wore a red gerbera daisy in her hair and carried a bouquet of white roses, red gerbera daisies and red hypericum berries.  She wore diamond and pearl earrings belonging to her mother.  

The bride’s grandfather Dr. Harry Martinez officiated at the double-ring ceremony. She was escorted by her father to "Ave Maria." The bride and groom took communion as Bryan Henderson, cousin of the groom, of Kingsport, Tenn., sang and played guitar to "How Deep the Father’s Love." Michael Friesen served as pianist and Kinsey Baker played cello.

Jessie Herrell, sister of the bride, of Conway, was maid-of-honor and Willine Reid of Conway was matron-of-honor.  Bridesmaids were Molly Stanton, sister-in-law of the groom, of Austin, Texas, and Nora Porter of Greenbrier.  Alexandria and Samantha Porter served as flower girls. The bridal party entered to "Canon in D." 

The bridesmaids wore black, tea-length dresses and carried bouquets of red roses, red gerbera daisies and red hypericum berries.  

Daniel Wolf of Fayetteville, was best man.  Groomsmen were Luke Stanton, brother of the groom, of Wooster, Zack Stanton, brother of the groom, of Austin, Texas, and Caleb Stanton, brother of the groom, of Wooster.

Eli Stanton, brother of the groom, of Wooster, and Conner Stanton, nephew of the groom, of Austin, Texas, served as ring-bearers.  Isaac, Gabriel and Silas Stanton, brothers of the groom, and Daniel Balch and Luke Williamson were ushers.  

The bride’s mother was escorted by Daniel Balch and the groom’s mother was escorted by the groom, Spencer Stanton.  Guestbook attendants were Rachel Thornton, Allie McKay and Betsy Luneau. 

The reception was held at the church. Guests sat at round tables with white tablecloths with black overlay, red silk floral arrangements, tea light candles and framed bridal portraits.   

A five-tiered cake of devil’s food, German chocolate, strawberry, yellow and white with butter cream frosting was served by Ann Wessman.  

The groom’s cake was made of German chocolate and yellow with chocolate butter cream frosting. 

Reception servers were Nathan and Brandi Hopkins, Allie McKay, Betsy Luneau, Rachel Thornton, Rena McCall, Sherry McKnight, Cindy Brantley, Megen Lagree, Kate Harville and Rachel Riggan.

Mr. and Mrs. Stanton honeymooned at Big Cedar Lodge near Branson, Mo.  They are at home in Nashville, Tenn., where Mrs. Stanton is a registered nurse at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.  The groom, a nursing student at Belmont University, is also employed at Vanderbilt Medical Center and is a member of the Greg Bates Band.
