New Beginning Church

"Satan doesn’t care what we worship, as long as we don’t worship God." Well let me tell you that Sunday morning saten never entered our doors. It all started in Sunday School while Pastor Bob was teaching and it rolled over into the morning service, infact Pastor Bob never got to preach that morning but did preach from Hosea 2:14-16 Sunday night. " And it shall be at that day, saith the Lord, that thou shall call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali. Ishi meaning spouse, husband or wife. That was the title of his message Ishi, which I had never heard that preached on before. What an awesome Sunday we all had.
Our Wednesday night Bible study got off to a terrific start this past Wednesday. Pastor Bob has started teaching from Genesis and everyone had lots of answers and questions on this book. We are all looking forward to the next chapter.
Our dessert auction will be this coming Sunday after the morning service. All the money made from this auction will go to the ladies retreat.
Aug. 29 we will be celebrating the Pastor’s birthday with cake, ice cream, sandwiches, chips and drink.
Prayer’s still going out for Doyle Patrick who is facing surgery, James Lindsey who is recovering from surgery and many others who have some kind of sickness. "Prayers can’t be answered unless they are prayed".
Bethlehem Baptist Church

We had a great day of worship at Bethlehem this past Sunday with Bro. Larry and Cherita Geraldson starting their ministry with us. Attendance was great with a lot of enthusiasm for the days services. There were several first time visiting families present. The special music for the morning was led by Bro. Danny with the congregation joining in and singing "How Great Is Our God". Bro. Larry’s message was from Revelation 4:1-11, titled "An Open Door In Heaven".
The message for the evening service was "I Will Build My Church", from Matthew 16:13-20. Following the service, we had a fellowship to welcome the Geraldson’s to our church family. Pictures were made of all present and a photo album was presented to them to familiarize them with everyone.
Wednesday evening was our annual business meeting for the purpose of approving teachers for the coming year.
Monday evening the youth (MNM) met at the home of George and Kristi Roberts for a time of fun and fellowship. I’m not sure how much swim time that they got in because of the thunderstorms that came thru.
We invite any visitors from the community and surrounding area to come worship with us at Bethlehem.
