The Central Arkansas Buckmasters chapter recently presented Community Connections with a check for $2,000 for work dealing with helping special-needs children.

"We have been doing a room dedication fundraiser," said Courtney Leach, executive director of Community Connections, "to raise money for programs for children with special needs."

The money goes to fund programs that give kids with disabilities the chance to play sports like soccer and football and experience the arts, such as dance and theater.

The Central Arkansas Buckmasters, an organization for avid deer hunters, has been in the area for 10 years. Members of the Buckmasters attended Community Connections’ final ACTS Jr. theater performance last year and felt moved to support the cause.

For a donation to Community Connections, individuals/organizations can name a room in the Pediatrics Plus Therapy Services facility. The Central Arkansas Buckmasters named the waiting room with their generous $2,000 contribution.

Other organizations/individuals have named the therapy gym, conference room and several treatment rooms. For more information on how to get involved and support Community Connections, visit
