Sarah Almeria Lindsay, 88, went to be with our heavenly Father on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009, in her home in Conway. She was born June 14, 1921, in Conway, to the late Walter S. and Johnnie Tyler.
Ms. Lindsay graduated from Arkansas State Teachers’ College in 1942. After 41 years of teaching (20 at the University of Central Arkansas), she retired in 1983. Almeria was a member and Sunday school teacher of Conway’s First Baptist Church for most of her adult life.
She is survived by her son, Walter; her granddaughter, Jacquelyn and her great-grandson, Evan, all of Conway.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway.
