John R. "Waldo" Walden, 60, of Vilonia passed away Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009 at Stone County Medical Center in Mountain View. He was born June 1, 1949 at Rockford, Ill., to John G. and Opal A. Malin Walden.
He was an employee of Rock Tenn as a leadman in the maintenance department. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife Alice Fay Holladay Powell Walden of Vilonia; son Michael Walden and wife Kim of Russellville; two daughters, Jennifer Meyers and husband John of Pecatonica, Ill.; and Sonja Studer and husband Kevin of Bryant; step-children, Michael Powell and wife Ashley of Mayflower, and Alicia Campbell and husband Keith of Conway; nine grandchildren, two sisters Sandra Rees and husband Roger of Centerville, Ia.; and Denise Walden of Rockford, Ill.; one brother Randy Walden and wife Debbie of South Beloit, Ill.; and many nieces, Nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be 11:00am Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home Chapel Clinton, Arkansas with Pastor, Brenda Price officiating.
Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery Alread Community with Pastor Virgil Lemings officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Roller McNutt Chapel in Clinton.
Casketbearers will be Mike Kemper and Randy Walden.
