Former Conway High golfer Bryce Molder fired a 7-under 63 in the final round Sunday to surge from 19th place to finish in a tie for sixth with Mike Weir in the Open at Grayhawk Golf Club at Scottsdale, Ariz.

Molder, who had already secured his PGA Tour card for next year, finished with a 15-under 265 and earned $173,750.

Troy Matteson, a former teammate of Molder’s at Georgia Tech, won the event at 18-under 262.
