St. Joseph’s junior high basketball teams split with Mount Vernon-Enola on Thursday.

St. Joseph boys won 52-24, and the Mount Vernon-Enola girls captured a 52-32 victory.

For the Junior Bulldogs (1-1), Andrew Beck and Drew Bates led in scoring with 14 points apiece. Landon Enderlin had six points. Cole Schichtl and Jake Fisher pitched in four points apiece. St. Joseph’s Andrew Kordsmeier and Schichtl finished with nine and four rebounds. Enderlin and Beck finished with three assists. Kordsmeier had three assists and three steals.

For the Lady Bulldogs (1-1), Rachel and Meagan Briggler had seven and six points, respectively. Abby Kordsmeier also had six points. Meagan Briggler led in steals with six and Anna Mayor in rebounds, with five.


St. Joseph boys beat Mount Vernon-Enola 25-9, and the St. Joseph girls recorded a 28-5 victory.

For the boys, Dylan Schrekenhofer led with 15 points. Patrick Nabholz and William Fields finished with four and three points.

Caroline Dail’s 10 points led the girls. Morgan Felts and Madelin Moix ended up with eight and six points, respectively.
