LITTLE ROCK (AP) — An extension has been granted for the appeal of the man convicted of killing Little Rock television anchor Anne Pressly.

Lawyers for Curtis Lavelle Vance say they need a full trial transcript to complete their appeal and the extension gives the court stenographer time to complete the transcript.

Prosecutors did not oppose the extension and the deadline for Vance's appeal is now June 13, 2010.

Vance was convicted Nov. 11 of capital murder, rape, burglary and theft of property for the Oct. 20, 2008, attack on Pressly in her home. He was sentenced to life in prison.

The KATV anchor died five days after the attack.
