The Vilonia girls junior high teams took a pair of wins against Greenbrier on Friday night at Greenbrier.


The eighth-grade girls (4-0) held off Greenbrier for a 26-13 win with Audrey Moran leading the Lady Eagles with 12 points.

Kendal Clower scored six points, Catie Lloyd scored four and Catie Lloyd chipped in four points.

 They return to action after the holiday break.


The ninth-grade girls (4-3) dropped Greenbrier 41-27 at Panther Pavilion.

Ashlyn Hightower led the Lady Eagles with nine points, and she had five rebounds and four assists.

Rebecca Brandon scored 12 points with five rebounds and two assists.

Laci Rios scored 13 for Vilonia, while Clara Benton scored four, Jessie Evans scored three and Macie Loggins contributed four assists. 

The ninth-grade girls will resume their season Jan. 4 at 6:50 p.m. during the county tournament at Mount Vernon.
