Allison Leigh Stroud, 38, of Mayflower passed away Monday, Feb. 22, 2010. She was born Tuesday, Jan. 25, 1972 in Little Rock to Don and Laura (Fortenbury) Rhea.

She was a loving wife, mother and daughter. She began volunteering at Arkansas Rice Depot 25 years ago and was employed there for the last 16 years. Mrs. Stroud was instrumental in founding the program "Food For Kids." She made sure every child knew they were loved. Her life verse from the Bible was II Timothy 4:7 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith," which her family believes to be a true testimony for Allison.

She is survived by her husband, Chris Stroud; two sons, Josh Stroud and Caleb Stroud; two daughters, Alex Stroud and Sara Stroud; and her parents, Don and Laura (Fortenbury) Rhea.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Mayflower First Baptist Church with Brother David Fox officiating. Burial will follow at Mayflower Cemetery with members of the Maumelle Police Department family, serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
