Darla Jo (Page) Biggs died Sunday, March 21, 2010, with the same dignity and good-natured spirit and grace with which she lived, surrounded by and continuing to comfort those she loved.
A native of Camden, Darla has made her home in North Little Rock with her husband, Gene Biggs.
There, she raised her children and sold real estate.
She generated great memories, smiles, and "laugh-out-loud" moments for many people whose lives she touched.
In addition to Gene, survivors include: son, Chad Tollett and wife Heather of Conway; daughter, Ashley Tollett Harden and husband Jay of Marianna; her much adored grandchildren, Cole and Clay Tollett and Amelia and Jack Harden; sister, Linda Yocom Goza and husband Percy of Sparkman; sister-in-law, Sue Page of Texarkana; mother-in-law, Connie Biggs of Little Rock; and brothers and sisters-in law, Peggy Rolfes and husband Pete of Atlanta, Ga., Judy Biggs, Janice Hamzy and husband Shannon, all of Little Rock, Rork Biggs of Melbourne, Fla., and Thomas Biggs of Little Rock.
Darla was preceded in death by her daddy, Horace O. Page; her mother, Ruth Alford Yocom and step-father, Lyndon, brothers, Jerry Page and Tommy Yocom, father-in-law, Ted Biggs, brother-in-law, Guy Biggs, and nephew, Keith Page.
Generous and kind, Darla frequently adopted abandoned animals of all kinds.
She loved horses throughout her life and in recent years bred and raced Thoroughbreds with her husband.
She leaves behind a long list of friends and many special horses, dogs and cats.
She filled lives with love, laughter and energy and made the world a better place.
Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Conway at 1 p.m. Thursday.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
In lieu of flowers, Darla would want memorials to be made to help unwanted and abused animals or retired racehorses.
Please make donations in her memory to Pulaski County Humane Society or CARE (Central Arkansas Rescue Effort) or Racehorse Reclaim Thoroughbred Retirement Rescue.
