CABOT — The Conway softball team returned to action Tuesday after spring break, and it showed to Lady Cats coach Chad Longing.

Conway had just four hits and walked 10 Cabot batters in a 10-0 loss to the Lady Panthers in 7A-Central Conference play.

"It was just a very unmotivating performance," Longing said. "We were rusty from the break."

The game was called in the fifth inning due to the run rule. Cabot, though, needed just three frames to do its damage.

The Lady Panthers, who had just five hits, scored four in the second and three runs in both the third and fourth innings.

Jordan Yandell had two of the Lady Cats’ four hits.

"Doing the things it takes to play in the 7A Central, we just didn’t get that done," Longing said.

With the loss, Conway fell to 2-7 overall and 1-1 in league play. The Lady Cats will host North Little Rock on Thursday.
