Leslie Nicole McGary of Conway and Robert Cody York of Mayflower were united in marriage at 2 p.m. May 1. The covenant ceremony took place at Petit Jean Mountain. Carl Ray York of Mayflower, uncle of the groom, officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dwayne and Paula McGary of Conway. She is the granddaughter of Ruby Jean White of Jacksonville and Mike and Faye McGary of Romance.
The groom is the son of Mr. Robert Leo York and the late Sharon Ann York of Mayflower. He is the grandson of Vivian York and the late Carl York of Maylower and the late Ola Mae Byrum.
The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a strapless white chiffon dress. She carried a bouquet of three lilies with strands of ribbons and pearls. She also carried a blue flowered hanky that was passed down from her great-grandmother, Minnie Wilcox. Music for the ceremony was provided by Bruce Rotnick, uncle of the bride, who played “The Bridal Chorus.”
A reception was also held at Petit Jean Mountain. The tables for the reception were decorated with ivory and white tablecloths. They served nuts, mints and classic white cupcakes with pink sprinkles.
The couple will make their home in Mayflower.
