Landers Toad Suck Harley-Davidson will host an event to benefit the Conway Animal Welfare Unit from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

Hawgs for Dogs is a special event for the business, Finance Manager Carrie Seifert Tate said, because of the relationship many Harley enthusiasts have with their own animals.

"Bikers love their dogs," Tate said. "We have an entire line of clothing and accessories for Harley pets."

Food will be available at the event, as well as music and door prizes.

The Animal Welfare Unit’s mobile adoption trailer will be on hand with available pets.

Those wishing to contribute may provide donations or enter the event’s 50/50 drawing.

Half of ticket sales for the drawing will be given to a lucky winner, and the other half, the Animal Welfare Unit.

Bikers wishing to contribute monetarily may enter the Poker Run.

"In this event motorcycles go from one stop to the next to receive their next card," Tate said. "Whoever has the best hand at the end wins. Entry fees will go to the Animal Welfare Unit."

There will also be a pet costume contest with first-, second- and third-place winners.
