Phyllis J. Coleman, 50, of Conway, died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010.
Phyllis was born Oct. 16, 1959, in Conway to Allie Dean (Johnston) Yarborough and the late Vaden Yarborough.
Phyllis graduated from UCA, then obtained her master’s degree from LSU in Baton Rouge.
She was a music teacher at CHDC for several years, then served as an administrator in Pediatric Anesthesiology at AR Children’s Hospital in Little Rock.
She was currently a member of both Springfield United Methodist Church and Mallettown United Methodist Church.
She was a talented song leader and enjoyed playing the flute.
Phyllis enjoyed the company of several cats and was the ultimate grandmother.
Phyllis is survived by her husband of 10 years, Hawk Coleman; sons Chris Coleman of Springfield, Mo., and David (Jodi) Coleman of Quitman; mother, Allie Yarborough of Conway; brothers, Duane (Roseanne) Yarborough and Gary (Terry)Yarborough both of Conway; grandchildren, Courtney, Austin, Jayden and Hunter Coleman and McKinley and Colton Shaw; and longtime family friend, David Lamberson.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Aug. 16 at Grace United Methodist Church in Conway.
