The Conway boys golf team recorded two second-place finishes in matches last week, while Summar Roachell won another individual event for the girls.


In a boys match at The Greens at Nutters Chapel, Conway’s boys fired a 328 to finish eight strokes behind Cabot. Tim Netherton and Tyler Pinney eached fired an 80 to lead the Wampus Cats. Parker Rice came in at 82 and Chase Netherton and Blake Darnell each had 86s. Cabot’s Colby Benton was medalist with a 5-over 70.


Tanner Bezet led Conway Blue (335) with an 80, followed by Connor Prout (82), Carson Roberts (86), Austin Smith (87) and Tony Sossong (94).


In girls and boys matches at the Arlington Course at Hot Springs Country Club, Roachelle fired a 4-under 36 to take medalist honors and lead Conway to victory in the nine-hole tri-match. The Lady Cats’ Bryce Wolfe was second overall at 41, followed by Tristan Jenkins (48), Morgan Clark (48) and Allison Ellen (56). Conway, with a 121, easily won the match with Hot Springs Lakeside (147) second and Benton (150) third.


In the Boys event, Lakeside golfers combined for a 312 to defeat Conway (316) and Benton (319). Nate Smith of Beton was medalist at 2-under 70 while Tim Netherton was second at 74. Other Conway scores were: Blake Darnell (79), Chase Netherton (80), Rice (83), and Prout (87).


Conway has matches this week at the War Memorial course in Little Rock on Wednesday and at Longhills in Benton on Thursday.
