FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — University of Arkansas police are warning football fans to be wary of scalpers selling counterfeit tickets.
Two men from Birmingham, Ala., were charged after they were caught allegedly selling fake tickets before Saturday's Alabama-Arkansas game at Razorback Stadium.
Fayetteville television station KFSM reports the men were caught when a victim who was turned away at a stadium gate found the suspects and pointed them out to police. The suspects, 25-year-old Jermaun Woods and 41-year-old Josephus Hawkins, face fraud charges. Police say they had more than $2,000 in cash between them.
Police say the section and seat numbers printed on the tickets didn't correspond to any seats in Razorback Stadium.
