What a wonderful surprise we all had Sunday morning when Sharon Watts come walking into church with the help of a couple of people. She has had a long battle with hospital and then with rehab to learn to walk again, and time to heal. She is still healing and needing our prayers so she can get her strength back, but praise the Lord she is on her way.
We also have several who needs prayer and that is the Rev. Butch Majors, Georgie Jones, Carroll Morgan, the Veazey family, Techler Clark, my sister Laura Brown, my aunt Lottie Vick who has but a few days, and two cousins, Jimmy Johnston and Kenny Smith.
Pastor Bob’s message Sunday morning was on "Fellowship" taken from 1 & 2 Corinthians and Ephesians and Sunday evening was on "His Promise’s". 2 Peter 2:9 & 10 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. I think the Lord is getting us ready, don’t you?
We hope and pray that everyone will have a great Mothers Day today and if you can’t be with your mother call her and let her know you love her and are praying for her.
"Throughout the ages no nation has ever had a better friend than the mother who taught her children to pray."
