Sarah Phillips of Conway, will attend Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas, this fall semester. Phillips is a graduate of Conway High School.
"We are delighted to have Sarah as a part of the Hardin-Simmons University family. Sarah is one of about 500 freshmen and transfer students new to HSU this fall. Sarah joins around 2,300 other current students enrolled at the main Abilene campus, as well as instructional sites in San Antonio, Texas; Corpus Christi, Texas; Lubbock, Texas; and Austin, Texas," said Dr. Shane Davidson, vice president for enrollment and marketing.
The university is named by U.S. News and World Report as one of the best universities in the western region of the United States and is listed by The Princeton Review as a Top Ten Best in the West University. It is a member of the Colleges of Distinction, has been named to the President’s Honor Roll and is included in the Honor Roll of the Chronicle of Higher Education’s Great Colleges to Work For.
Hardin-Simmons University, founded in 1891, is a private Christian liberal arts university, and has been affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas (Texas Baptists) since 1941.
