The stock of the J.H. Pence furniture company has been moved to their new location at 919 Front St. and set up for display. The building has set up for display. The building has been remodeled throughout and the modern trend has been followed in the style for decorations.

The interior color scheme is white and the show windows have been remodeled to provide display space for a room in each window.

Bruce Bennett, who was sworn in as attorney general Tuesday, said Richardson Adkisson of Little Rock has been named as one of his eight assistants. Adkisson is a son of Postmaster and Mrs. Sam E. Adkisson of Conway.

Sean Hollender, a sophomore at St. Joseph High School, has been accepted to the Hugh O’Brien Youth Foundation Arkansas Leadership Seminar to be held Friday through Sunday, March 11-13, in Little Rock.

He is a son of John and Terri Hollender of Conway.

Mr. and Mrs. Clifford King Sr. of Damascus, formerly of Gruggs (Jackson County), celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary in heir home on Monday (Dec. 23, 2002).

They were married Dec. 23, 1936, Charlotte (Independence County) by J.L. Brown.

The couple has six children: Knoxie and Fred Wilbern of Damascus, Gerald and Shirley King of Conway, Laverl and Bill Terry of Conway, Clifford and Kitty King Jr. of North Little Rock, Larry and Shirley King of Winter Haven, Fla., and Gladys and Jack Goodson of Roland.

The couple also has 17 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
