Vilonia’s seventh-grade girls defeated Ruth Doyle in two basketball games Monday night.

The Lady Eagles won the A game, 41-12. Aaliyah Cash and Anna Kaye Kirk led the scoring for Vilonia with six points each. Tori Wilbanks had five points. Alyssa Netherlain, Sydney Johnson, and Talyn Lawrence scored four points each.  Callie Eary, Grace Vanlandingham, Alexis Burnham, Kaitlyn Weaver and Ashlee Andrews scored two points each.

For Ruth Doyle, Khalil Miles led with eight points for Ruth Doyle while Toineka Webb and Tierra Bonner scored two points. Cardrina Nolen scored the only points in B game for Ruth Doyle.

The two boys teams split.

Ruth Doyle won the A game, 30-24. Hunter Neely scored nine points and Cody Mitchell had eight for the Eagles. Other statistical leaders were: Jeremy Kendall, three; Triston Milligan, two; and Trenton Hetherington, two.

Noah Heston hit a 3-point at the buzzer to give the Eagles a 20-17 victory in the A game. Heston led with seven points. Jordan Nichols and Logan Wilson each had four, Garrett Thomnas and Logan Lamp, two each; and Jacob Herburger, one.

Greenbrier 7th boys

Clinton defeated Greenbrier in two seventh-grade boys basketball games Monday night.

The Yellowjackets won the A game, 44-29. Spencer Sutterfield and Grant Brown each had nine points for Greenbrier. Bo Harmon added five.

Clinton won the game 10-5. Ian Kelley had two points for the Panthers.
