Miss Constance Mitchell entertained the Wednesday Duplicate Club at her home on Donaghey Avenue Wednesday afternoon. Many vases of iris were arranged in the living room where games were played. Mrs. George J. Hartje and Mrs. Frank E. Robins tied for high score, and each was presented a gift. A salad plate, with ice cream topped with strawberries, and hot tea were served at the conclusion of the games.

Faulkner County’s 1963 campaign for funds to fight arthritis will be led by Mrs. M.M. Satterfield.

Mrs. Satterfield accepted chairmanship of the drive which will begin here March 15, according to J.V. Satterfield, president of the Arkansas Chapter of the Arthritis and Rheumatism Foundation.

Joanna Williams of Conway and Carrie Scroggins of Greenbrier, both 13, recently were named 1988 Miss Girls Missionary Auxiliary and Junior Miss GMA of Arkansas of the Greenbrier District of the Baptist Missionary Association of America. The presentation was held Saturday at Parkview Baptist Church in North Little Rock.

They will represent the Baptist Missionary Auxiliary of Arkansas in the national presentation in June at Daniel Springs Baptist Encampment in Gary, Texas.

Miss Williams, daughter of Dan and Cindy Williams, is an eighth-grader at Conway Junior High School and is a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Miss Scroggins is a daughter of Gary and Cloedean Scroggins and is a seventh-grader at Greenbrier Middle School. She is a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Greenbrier.

Jeanette Morin of Conway and her sons Ron Singer, 7, and J.T., 10, checked out the artwork on display in the Conway Regional Medical Center’s Women’s Center. The art was created by students in all grades at St. Joseph School.
