Wesley United Methodist Church

Service to others remains strong at Wesley United Methodist Church. One example of this is a group called "Angels Among Us", which was begun by one of our members, Donna Johnson, as a support group for breast-cancer survivors. From her own personal experience, Donna saw how she could help others who are battling breast cancer or are breast cancer survivors. The group meets on a regular basis at our church to share information and fellowship. And as a fund-raiser for these Angels Among Us, the public was invited to an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast on Sunday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Stoby’s on Donaghey. Tickets were $5 each and purchased at the door.

Wesley United Methodist Church is a compassionate and friendly family of faith who loves God with our soul, our body, and our mind as we offer the abundant Christian life to all. Located at 2310 E. Oak St., guests are welcomed always with "open hearts, open minds, open doors", which is what a person of the Methodist faith believes. We do not discriminate, and we welcome anyone who would like to be together in Christian worship. All of our services are open to the public, and guests of all ages are welcome at each one.

Sunday was the Day of Pentecost, and the church members were encouraged to wear the color red in celebration of the giving of the Holy Spirit.

Our Sunday worship service begins at 10 a.m., with Sunday school at 9 a.m. Nursery is provided. We also have a Wednesday evening service which includes a prayer team at 6 p.m., potluck supper at 6:30 p.m., and Bible study at 7 p.m. If you have any questions, please call our church office at 327-7629. And if you do not have a church you regularly attend, you are welcome to join us here.
