O.S. Russ is having a modern six-room residence built on his farm two miles south of Conway on the old Little Rock highway. He is building barns and cattle sheds and will move his dairy from the Anderson place on Sturiss Hill as soon as they are completed.

Margaret Ussery, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Ussery of Quitman, was named Miss Guy High School in a beauty contest last Friday night at the school. She is 16 and a senior.

Sue Ellen Glover, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.T. Glover, was selected Miss Junior Guy High School at the same event. She is 12 and in the seventh grade.

The Greenbrier Post Office has moved into a new building almost three times the size of the old one.

The new building was needed to accommodate growth in the community, Postmaster Charles Freeman said. Freeman has worked for the postal service since 1968, beginning as a clerk and working his way up to postmaster in 1971. He grew up in Faulkner County, attending school at Centerville.

Conway band Anxiety recently won first place in the online Battle of the Bands competition and will perform tonight on the Smirnoff Ice Stage at the Arkansas State Fair. The band beat 72 other bands, and the top 12 bands will be featured in a calendar for Night Life Rocks. Members of the band are Matthew Welcher, vocalist; Patrick Hum, guitar; Robby Becker, bass guitar; Clark Kordsmeier, drums; and Kyle Bruich, lead guitar.
