About 140 Hendrix students and faculty members will represent the college at the Hendrix-Tech game at Russellville tonight. The Hendrix head, with 40 members, Kappa Kappa Kappa social sorority and invited guests and a bus-load of other students will make the trip. The student body bus is sponsored by the Hendrix Booster Club.

A Japanese persimmon tree, about three years old, is not much taller than Greg and Mike Moix, aged 4 and 8, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Moix. The tree bore only one persimmon in its first year, two or three the second and has about 40 on it this year. The tree will never get much larger than it is now and the persimmons are more than three times as big as ordinary persimmons.

Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Baker of Conway are parents of a son, Luke Elgin, born Friday (Oct. 14, 1988) at Baptist Medical Center. The baby weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Roy Chatham of Conway and Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert J. Baker of Wiggins, Miss. Mr. and Mrs. Baker have two other children, Stephen, 5, and Anna, 3.

The Conway Dragons 9-and-under girls soccer team recently won their age division at the Lakewood Fallfest Soccer Tournament with a 3-1 victory over the Conway Xtreme. The Dragons finished the tournament with a 5-0 record and outscored their opponents 24-3. The team includes MacKenzie Neumeier, Callie Chambers, Madeline Selvog, Brooke Rittman, Morgan Clark, Caitlin Richardson, Annie Courtway, Sydney Mitchum, Javan Massey, Abby Mann, Summer Roachell, assistant coach Gene Neumeier and head coach Bill Roachell.
