Elizabeth Kamp entertained a few friends at Halloween party Friday evening at the home of her parents, Dr. and Mrs. H.W. Kamp. The interior decorations featured the Halloween idea and after playing a variety of games were ice cream with doughnuts and candy was served and favors given.

A Faulkner County couple observed their 60th wedding anniversary at their Enola home Friday.

Boss Samuel Shock and his wife, the former Ollie Bell Bailey, were married at Enola on Oct. 25, 1903. Officiating at the ceremony was the late Rev. James A. Reynolds, Methodist minister, with about 50 guests in attendance.

Shock was a farmer and engaged in the mercantile business at Enola for many years.

They have seven children, 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Army Reserve Pvt. 1 Patrick L. Plummer, a son of Lee R. and Merle C. Plummer of Conway, recently completed training as a grave registration, laundry and bath specialist at the Army Quartermaster School, Fort Lee, Va.

Danielle Small, daughter of Stan and Kelli Small, is the 2009 Conway High School Homecoming Queen. America’s Homecoming Queen Chanley Painter crowned Small before the Conway homecoming football game on Friday.
