Maids selected by Miss Letitia Neal, Hendrix College homecoming queen, to appear in her royal court at the homecoming football game, Nov. 18, include four students from Conway. Four girls from Conway were named maids as follows: Misses Virginia Harkey, maid of honor, senior; Janelle Gunn, senior; Jane Hamberg, junior; and Laura Lee Durham, sophomore.

Emma Jones, a senior, was crowned Pine Street High School Homecoming Queen yesterday, in pre-game ceremonies of a football game between the Polar Bears and Morrilton at Hendrix College Stadium. Miss Jones is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Smith. She was escorted by Carl David Howard.

Tena Hixon, a counselor at Greenbrier High school, looked over literature with Greenbrier students Jenny Benton and Melanie Goss during Career Day yesterday at the school. Representatives from 38 institutions and organizations spoke to about 300 students from Greenbrier, Guy and Mayflower high schools.

John Kelly Burger, a seventh-grader at Carl Stuart Middle School, is one of six Arkansas students nominated or prep Runner of the Year.

The runner of the year is inducted into the Arkansas Roadrunners Hall of Fame.

Burger is a member of his junior high cross country team, a member of the Faulkner Striders AAU track team and the Conway Running Club.
