There is coming a day when those who never trusted Jesus as their Lord and Savior will wish they had done so, one day.
My brothers and sisters there is such a thing as waiting too late to make Jesus your Lord and Savior. I use the word "late" because we can wait too late to make Jesus our Lord and Savior.
In this day and time we are living in, we love putting things off until the next day. Something we need to do this very day we don’t do it, we put it off until the next day.
For example — now, I love using myself as an example because everything I write about I have been through it. Most of you know I used to be an alcoholic, I drank from sunrise to sunset from the time I got up in the morning till the time I went to bed. Now that’s a lot of drinking. Yes I had it bad and I would always say: "I’m going to stop drinking tomorrow." But tomorrow would come and go and I would still be saying the same thing.
It’s just by God’s grace and mercy I am here today. What I’m trying to say, stop putting Jesus off! Make Him your Lord and Savior today so you don’t miss out on Heaven.
Brothers and sisters when you die, or some will say when you clock out, you are going one of the two places: Heaven or Hell. I beg you, don’t miss out on Heaven for this place called Hell — it’s not worth it.
Many times I read in the paper where someone has died or I go to a funeral and the first thing that goes through my mind is "were they saved?" I know it’s too late to ask that question, because they are already gone and they have already arrived in one of the two places, Heaven or Hell. I often say "I wonder if they gave their life to Jesus before they died."
That’s why I urge everybody, don’t wait too late to give your life to Jesus because we never know when we are going to leave here — and believe me, one day we all are going to make that trip, or should I say "give up the ghost!"
Question: Which is more important to you, spending eternity with Jesus in Heaven or spending eternity in this place called Hell, where you will be tormented forever and ever?
In closing, there is an old saying that goes like this: Not everybody that talks about going to Heaven is going to Heaven.
Now I want you to just think about that ... there are a lot of people who talk against Jesus. They say He is not the Son of God. They don’t believe He died and rose in three days. They believe there are many ways to Heaven. They don’t believe Jesus is the door to Heaven.
Look, I could go on and on about these people, but to each his own. These are some of the people that are going to miss out on Heaven. Are you one? I want to leave you with these five verses:
John 14:6 — Jesus answered, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. The only way to the Father is through Me.
John 3:16 — For God so loved the world He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believe in Me [Jesus] shall not perish but have everlasting life.
Acts 4:12 — Jesus is the only One who can save people. No one else in the world is able to save us.
John 10:9 — I am the door (gate) and the person who enters through Me [Jesus] will be saved and will be able to come in and go out and find pastures.
Romans 14:9 — The reason Christ died and rose from the dead to live again was so He would be Lord over both dead and the living.
Amen and Amen.
