Mrs. Alice Sims, daughter-in-law of Dr. Raymond Cook of Conway and Little Rock, expects to be $5,100 richer this week because of 25 words she wrote recently.

Mrs. Sims, who lives in Little Rock, is the winner of the Proctor & Gamble prize of $5,000 and one of the 10 major weekly prizes of $100 for additional 25 words or less to the sentence.

Dianne Bumpers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Phil Bumpers, and Mike Hillis, son of the Rev. and Mrs. J. Ralph Hillis of Conway, will represent the First Methodist Church at the National Convocation of Methodist Youth July 27-31 at Purdue University, Lafayette, Ind.

Members of the Greenbrier Panthers gathered about a trophy recently in celebration of a 14-and-under Amateur Softball Association Junior Olympic state championship. The Greenbrier team was undefeated in five games in the tournament at Fort Smith. Members are Gwen Fielder, Staci McGee, Tori Milam, Kim Russell, Crystal Fureigh, Nikki McGinty, Crystal Odom, Amber Vann, Jennifer Lake, JoEllen McMillen, Ashley Pitts, Alison Burnett and Julie McNulty. Coaches are Dave Fureigh, John Pitts and Gary Fielder.
