The former assistant county jail administrator who resigned in 2014 after the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) launched an investigation into his involvement with missing prescription drugs has been charged with fraud or deceit to procure narcotic drugs.
According to an affidavit filed May 29, Capt. Lloyd Vincent, 40, admitted to taking prescription narcotics that were prescribed for an inmate and led a nurse to believe that he would dispose of the medication in July of 2014.
A discrepancy in the procedures for the handling of prescription medication within the jail triggered an internal investigation within the FCSO, and Vincent was suspended and eventually resigned.
The incident has been investigated by the FCSO and Arkansas State Police. Vincent is scheduled to appear in court for plea and arraignment on June 22.
