The Conway Public Schools physical education department will host the fourth annual Wellness Expo at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Buzz Bolding Arena.
Janet Taylor, assistant athletic director, said the Wampus Cats Wellness Expo is a partnership between schools within the district and community members to offer wellness incentives to families of Conway’s schools.
"This is a concerted effort to enrich the lives of our students and parents by providing a night of fun and fitness," Taylor said. "This is a district-wide effort, which includes all of Conway’s schools."
Taylor said the public event started at Ruth Doyle Middle School and Ida Burns Elementary, but has evolved and spread throughout the district.
"[It] started at a couple of schools, and we just encouraged all schools to join in and take part," she said.
People get excited about the expo and it gets bigger each year, Taylor said.
The event is free, event organizers said in a news release.
There will be door prizes, live floor exhibits, a petting zoo, archery, booths, exhibits and health screenings available.
